I know that the hello world post is the traditional post of bloggers everywhere. I suppose I should tell you a bit about me. I’m Jason Arnold. I wear a lot of different hats. Professionally speaking, I’m an accountant. My job is essentially to make sure that companies keep their books properly balanced. It’s this same balance that I look for in a wine.
So, I guess you could say that I am on a journey to find balance in my life. I have a habit of overworking myself when what I’d really like to be doing is skiing down a Colorado mountain or Scuba Diving off the coast of the Bahamas. I suppose that what makes me unique is I’m always looking for the deeper things in life. To me, life is a journey. Sometimes, in the simple things we discover ourselves.
When I look at anything in this life, I enjoy doing so with a very systematic approach. That’s as true for complex numbers just as much as it is for tasting the complexity of wine. We aren’t here on this earth for a long time, but rather, we are here for a good time. That’s why I strive to make the lives of those around me better than they were before they met me. I’m a caring person with an appreciation of the arts, a fascination with viticulture, and knack for numbers.
So, here you have it, my first post. But like anything in life great journeys start with the first small steps. I hope you’ll hang around and be part of this journey with me. My goal here isn’t just to showcase my professional skills, but also talk about the things that interest me. So, while some will find it to be a strange mix of underwater adventure and cultured discussion of the vine, I’m sure that others will find that they really connect with my passions, and more importantly find a good friend.
